2.2 F12 Configuration in TallyPrime

Company Features have been moved to the top menu under K: Company and are organized based on usability.

F12 Configuration enables users to easily adjust invoicing and reporting preferences:

  • Proper placement and grouping for easy access.
  • Sequencing based on use for better workflow.
  • Layered presentation for a more organized interface.

Key settings for report values are now readily available under the Basis of Values section.

The F12 Configuration has been moved to the top menu alongside:

  • M: Email
  • P: Print
  • F1: Help

2.2.1 Alter Company Details

To modify company details (e.g., name, address) in TallyPrime:

Method 1:

  1. From Gateway of Tally, click on K: Company.
  2. Select Alter.
  3. In the Company Alteration screen, make the necessary changes.

Method 2:

  1. From Gateway of Tally, click on F3: Company.
  2. Select Alter Company.
  3. In the Company Alteration screen, make the necessary changes.

Note: If multiple companies are loaded in Gateway of Tally, select the company that needs to be altered before making changes.

2.2.2 Shut the Company

To shut a company in TallyPrime:

Method 1:

  1. From Gateway of Tally, click on K: Company.
  2. Select Shut (Ctrl+F3).
  3. In the Shut Company screen, select the company (e.g., Kumar Software Pvt. Ltd.) to shut.
  4. Once the company is shut, the Select Company screen will appear with the list of available companies.

Method 2:

  1. From Gateway of Tally, click on F3: Company.
  2. Select Shut Company.
  3. In the Shut Company screen, select the company you wish to shut.

Note: If multiple companies are loaded, ensure to select the company that needs to be shut.
